Each in its way has had immense influence on our perception of Rome and the northern `barbarians'. The second is the only surviving specimen from the ancient world of an ethnographic study. Since Agricola's claim to fame was that as governor for seven years he had completed the conquest of Britain, begun four decades earlier, much of the first work is devoted to Britain and its people. Agricola served as the governor of Britain when it was under the rule of. The first products were brief: the biography of his late father-in-law Julius Agricola and an account of Rome's most dangerous enemies, the Germans. Agricola retells the military and political career of Tacituss esteemed father-in-law. Those three ships were packed with refugees, Kristang refugees, but they were still refugees, mostly civilian castes, fleeing from war. This ship stopped, and when the Kristang were unable come up with payment for transit fees to cover all eighteen of their ships, the Thuranin ejected three of the ships, then jumped away. Halfway to their destination, Thuranin discovered that particular Kristang clan had defaulted on a payment. Earlier this year, this star carrier was transporting Kristang ships full of refugees from a planet the Kristang has lost to the Ruhar. It still didn’t feel right, killing sentient beings. He likes making trades with cheap prices, which work out better for him than the person he trades with.
